A botanical garden is a collection of plants labeled with their botanical names typically housed within an educational context. In Botanic 2, flowering plants are animated inside a circular framework that utilizes the outer edges of the video as a container. The flowers are blown by an unseen force, which causes the plants to collide with each other and the edges of the frame. With each collision, they break apart into a collection of seeds, twigs, leaves and petals. The animations loop forward and back, transitioning between breaking apart and coming back together, creating a figurative projection that lives in the space between the physical and virtual. Plant species appearing in Botanic 2 include: Aster, Cala Lily, Carnation, Dahlia, Delphinium, Fusia, Gerbera Daisy, Gladiola, Iris, Larkspur, Lavender, Lily, Orchid, Oxeye, Rose, and Tulip.
